Unique Wall Clocks!
These are certainly different wall clocks - the art is hard to describe in one category so this is where all the odd pieces end up.
The Apollo 11 plaque says "HERE MEN FROM THE PLANET EARTH FIRST SET FOOT UPON THE MOON JULY 1969 A.D. WE CAME IN PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND" It is signed by the three astronauts and President Nixon. The plaque is a copy of the one that was attached to the landing pad of the LEM spacecraft. Feels appropriate to have the first moon landing and the first powered airplane flight ( Wright brothers at Kittyhawk) in this section. I made the 3D model of the Wright Flyer in 2003. Just finished it in time for the 100 year anniversary of the flight.
The nanofactory clock is a single view into the guts of the first animated nanofactory designed by Dr. E. Drexler and John Burch. The image shows the atomic tools used to strip carbon from acetylene atoms and build up diamond material for construction of large useful objects such as a handheld computer.
